My sister just called me to tell me I have a new niece named Julie :)

She's three weeks early but everyone is ok, though my sister had another C-section and had a hard time waking up. I'm going home this weekend to see them :)

I (re-) watched Lost in Translation this afternoon and as always it makes me feel so peaceful. This movie resonates a lot with me for a lot of different reasons, loneliness being one, of course, but also now the music, because it became a big part of my life since I first saw the movie back in 2003. So, still 5 days of vacation but it's already been a big success here. Hearing adults speak English seems perfectly normal to me, after all they're probably Eglish. Or American. Or something.

Hearing kids speak English on the other hand, that seems like a small miracle to me. Maybe it's because I remember my first experience of hearing English kids somewhere in the South of England when I was 13. I was really shocked. ( Read more... )

Today I got up early at 11am and went to work. Or rather, very close to work. Vincent was working close to where my company is, so we decided to have a pizza with a few friends from work.
