I was listening to some old music this evening, which sparked reminisces from those days. I realised that when I thought of the 1970s, it was always summer, whereas when I remembered the 1990s it was always grey and wintery

My first memory of New Zealand, and the 90's was of rain and flooding in at my primary school. I think the weather could have been crappier in the 90's.

BTW, I'm from Australia, came to NZ when I was 5.

I substantially agree: I remember the 70's as being sunny and me hating polyester, but it's the 80's I remember as being grey and damp. The 90's just sucked in general.
