That was a wonderfully written rant. I will not forget what happened during the last 8 years. I heard a great piece on NPR's On The Media the other day. It was scathing about George Bush saying "Thank You" to the press corps in his last press conference in office.
It exposed and reminded everyone about all the times the Bush Administration avoided, decieved, flat-out lied to, and co-opted the media. It even revealed Bush's staged press conferences with actors instead fo reporters and a staged Q&A with "troops" in Iraq who were actually actors talking about how much better and more secure Iraq now was.
This was illuminating. I had already forgotten these things.
Ranting helps us remind each other.
