Very good illustration of light. Your pictures don't often have internal light sources like that, do they? It lends itself to some dramatic values.

Of course, I'm fond of the subject matter too. ;)

light sources are pretty common in my art, i just don't tend to make them the focal central point of the image, and when you consider this image, everything else is really a dressing for the light source, so i guess that this would be a break away from my norm, although i tend to pay attention to the light of a piece. I've always told people that my two main influences are akira kurasawa (7 samauri) and Stanely Kubrick (the shining, full metal jacket) and those two directors are stand outs for one reason, perfect lighting every scene every movie...that and obessive attention to detail

I've really liked the last few pieces you've posted. They definitely gotten a lot more... bold than what you used to post. It's good to see you back in action after such a long dry spell. It's even better to see that the hiatus didn't have a negative effect on your art.

But yes, welcome back :)

you think they've gotten more bold,...i can see that...the colors are definately much more pop artish...i've been studying a lot of train graffitti for that, and watching a lot of commercials....

and that dry spell was hell, so much exterior shit going on, and a lack of a good solid desktop computer with a big monitor, i had to shift my focus over to other interests...
