i know its fall, because i can create shit, my creative mind goes into a slumber, all on its own, and now i'm faced with the approach i learned last year, i will wring the shit out of with with practices and experimentation until i get some, so new movement, so new action, some thing...fucking anything ( Read more... )

Read peoples journals... Not the random rants, but ones with emotion. Put a picture to them. If you would, read through mine. Use your abilities and turn them into pictures... Honestly I would like to see how others "see" my thoughts.

If you would, try these two. http://www.livejournal.com/users/greythorne/72663.html

creative mind in a slumber in fall.

When you first said this I thought you might be like me, and get sluggish when light levels drop as the seasons turn. But then I looked at a map of the US and now I'm not so sure if the light levels are all that dingy where you are. (It's pretty grey and dull where I am now, but if I compensate with extra light I perk up and can shake off the slumbering feeling.)

Mind you, though I doubt it's as dark and grey where you are, maybe the fall in light level is affecting you, light can have subtle effects on the brain.

I just give up, smoke a joint, and play some video games.

Doesn't do shit for my creativity, but it passes the time. ;-)

I read it, just don't have much time to say much of anything.

As far as getting out of a creative slump, I usually take a week off from creative things then pull out my sketchbook and I doodle and doodle and doodle and even though the first of it is usually crap work, as I keep on I start getting ideas.

I have never been able to force creative things but just wait (sometimes patiently, sometimes not) for things to happen again. now I am older, I see the times of not creating as fallow periods that are necessary.
