Snow in Siberia

Today was the first day of snow. I awoke this morning, drew the curtains and was surprised to find everything coated in white. It's a wet snow though that makes articles of clothing uncomfortably damp. It also melts as it mingles with the dirt which has now become mud, so walking to the bus stop or to the store is now an endeavor that requires ( Read more... )

Pete - I was outlining a map of russia today for work, and I thought of you and all of the awesome things that you are doing. Best of luck to you with the rest of your journey.

And, I assure you that contact with a sick HIV patient IS a siginificant threat to contracting the disease, what all of those "papers" say is "obviously" wrong.

And American's are fat because we don't eat a well balanced diet. Soda and sugar consumption has been on the rise while vegetable and fruit consumption has been decreasing for over 3 decades in America. I don't know what it is like in Russia, but that could be an answer.

It snowed a bit here today. The first 2 weeks of Nov were amazingly warm, now we get the taste of winter. But the big white flakes have their own wonderment as we were created to enjoy them as well.

Thanks for sharing insights into life on that side of the planet. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Kermit is working on a trip to Ukraine next June, are you up for it?
