I don't know if law is the correct word, but I can't think of anything else to call it yet. I might need to word it differently also:

"Given enough time, anything that is profitable will happen"

I don't remember if supplement is the right word or not, either. When someone has a law, and you say/do/make a law related to or as an extension of that law. I don't think it's supplement, but that's all I can think of right now.

Update: I came up with corollary. It sounded right at the time, but it's not. So supplement is still the best I got.
