A while ago, I read The Steerswoman series by Rosemary Kirstein. Jen had recommended them to me and she reads just about anything she thinks could be good in all genres so I had no idea what to expect. It starts out as a normal fantasy book and turns into science-fiction at the end, but telling how or why would be spoiling the books forever
