I'm just making that a designation now, because typing out the whole "Pacific Northwest" thing is hard. Even though I just did it to explain what I meant by PNW'er. Meh.
Hello! Good to see this section of the country represented, I guess, hahah. From whence to you hail? I'm from the Seattle area, though I'm currently an honorary Idahoan (which is really isn't Pacific, but it's still fairly northwest, so it sorta counts?)
Idaho is close enough I think... mostly because I don't know where else it would fit and I don't want it to be left out of a geographic grouping.
I live in southern Oregon, almost as far south as you can get and still be in the PNW. I was born in the middle of Oregon and have lived up north too, so I feel fairly good as a representative Oregonian... though I haven't lived on the coast or in the eastern part of the state. Oh well.
Yeah, it's kind of in an awkward spot. Geographically, it fits into the PNW, but characteristically it's not quite the same, especially the farther east you go.
I haven't been to that many parts of Oregon, but my family's favorite vacation spot is Manzanita, on the coast.
Greetings! I have been reading the Introductions and they've been making me think of songs. This is the song your "I exist" statement made me think of. More the title than the lyrics necessarily, but I dig the song:
