Well, I ventured out all by myself this morning, to the local morning market a few doors down, here in an area where they likely don't see many farang (foreigners), and made a purchase of a length of very pretty batik. Thailand was one of my favorite places. EVER. We hired a guy in Chiang Mai, who called himself Rambo (LOL), and he was our personal guide everyday we were there. He would ask for some small amount, and then he'd drive us around and be our tour guide all day. It was so amazing. All the temples, waterfalls, and so much more! The Royal Palace in Bangkok just blew my mind! And of course, the beaches. We stayed in Koh Samui. This was all before the tsunami, so I don't know what the area is like now.

I can say that I am getting all nostalgic and choked up because it is a really great place. I hope you are having a wonderful time!!!!!!!!

XOXO!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's been WONDERFUL. We are staying with a close Thai friend, who, luckily for us, seems to love nothing more than showing off her beautiful country to us. We've seen and done so much! We saw the Royal Palace too, as well as the Teak Palace -- incredible sights. The ocean too -- in fact, I lost my glasses in the pacific (heh, funny story). Anyway, we have so enjoyed this trip. Unforgettable....
