I want to do a short distance by motorbike taxi (these are not legal but are everywhere and police do nothing about them, they are part of the chinese picture). It usually is supposed to cost 1 or 2 kuai (equivalent of "buck" in english or "piastre" in québécois).

yeah that is what i was thinking after as well, when i start laughing at myself for insisting on 15 cents. Nothing to me, much more to them.

But at the same time, i feel they disrespect me for trying to get my money out of my pocket with hypocresy, so i stand with the principle that if they dont respect me, they dont deserve it...

but still.... i am not yet convinced by myself yet...
