Mama! *hurries to her in a slightly awkward, childlike manner* Look at me! I do not know why, and I do not know how, but I have become a grown lady. *and looks delighted* I hope you do not mind me wearing your old gown; mine do not fit now. *smiles innocently*

. . . Oh! Of course not-- but it's such a ratty old thing, isn't it? We must see about finding you something better. *smiles a little-- having to care for a child is bothersome, but a grown daughter could almost be fun!*

*grins* Oh, oui, mama! Why, M. Rochester has just offered me new dresses! What luck that there is a man so nice as he to give me just what I need. He says it shall be just like when he used to buy you dresses!

Well, at least it's better than sending you back to infancy. I suppose this means I'm going to have to do some shopping.

You appear to be the same size as your mother was...convenient: I already know those measurements. I know you'll want frills; should I order any specific colors, or just tell them to send the whole damn shop?
