Outtake 4 : Castiel - I will fear no Evil

What's the concept ?
This is an outtake (a sketch) for a illustration I made for the spn_tarot community. It was due to be a card for the Knight of Wands but it was finally decided that this fan art would be used as an alternate card for The Strength or as a card for the Swords suit.
Don't hesitate to check out the community to know more about the Tarot. If you are a fan artist yourself, I think you can still apply for alternate versions of the cards. The deadline is August 1st. I think we almost completed a whole deck !
Where's does the title come from ?
It's a reference to the sentence engraved on the Colt Non Timebo Mala ( I will fear no Evil). It originally comes from the Bible (Psalms 23)
Is it the first version ?
No, there was a bird in my first sketch but it was completely ridiculous. It looked like a fight between Castiel and a pigeon (because the bird was incredibly fugly and small). I erased it quickly. It's Supernatural, not Dastardly and Muttley, a pigeon in a Spn fan art is completely irrelevant. Except if you are on drugs.
Is there a color version of this illustration ?
Yes, I posted it HERE and as you can see, it's very different from the actual sketch. Here's a little preview.
Tools of the trade ?
Traditional : Pencil (from 2h to 4B), charcoal, China Ink, white paint
Digital : Painter Essential 3 (digital water colors) - Photoshop CS (background texture + white highlights)
