hehe. I'm flattered. To get the effect I zoomed in while the camera was taking the picture, if that makes sense. For example, I pushed the shutter button and then twisted my lens and then voila!
The funniest thing about the lens cap being on is I was reading a website warning against that and I ever so foolishly thought to myself "hah! I would never do that." However, I did tape a twist-tie (like the kind that comes with bread in the supermarket) on my lens cap in the shape of a V so that way when I look the view finder I can see it so I can warn myself in the future :). Let's see if I actually learn.

I think I forgot to take the lens cap off for a few of the pictures. Heaven knows how many times I've done this. You're not alone.
