Hmm, would Sam really not involve Jack in the decision? She knows how much he loves kids. Seems a bit out of character for her. Maybe she's just in too much shock, but she is a bright and fast thinking woman, so hopefully her head will clear before she makes a big mistake.

I like Janet's thoughts at the end about Jack and his love of kids, but did miss Sam having those same thoughts as I think she would. Janet should sneakily bring Cassie into the base before the procedure to remind Sam how much she (and Jack) love the girl . . .

Definitely looking forward to the next chapter! How many will there be? Do you have it all done? :)

Oh! So sad!! Poor Sam. I can imagine how guilty she feels. How she feels like she's done something *wrong*. But it wasn't her fault! They had no memories! "Alien influence" an all that! >.<

Another heart wrenching chapter! God, this fic just tears me apart!
