I'm so sad it's finished, but it's ended perfectly!
Loved the whole thing and I'd got to the point of squeeing every time I saw a new chapter posted. :D
Btw, I don't do baby fic... you somehow made me love it! :D
I loved the style this is written in, those flashbacks to the mine's really helped build on that snippet of what we saw in canon to make it a real, fully formed relationship. And the relevance of each flashback to what was happening in the present was wonderful.
I really liked that, while this had a happy ending (because I'm a sucker for that), it wasn't tied up neatly in a bow. I like that Sam was conflicted about changing (and not giving up!) her career, even though women almost always get the short end when it comes to having it all. And that they take things slowly even though the feeling have been there for years. Nicely done.
Not quite as multipurpose as desired happy-ending icon --->
It was an absolute blast writing this and I hope you all enjoyed reading it!
I did indeed.
I liked how multilayered this piece was, and how, like a cake it has different layers and textures to make up the whole, with many flavors and aftertastes. Not too sweet and light, either, because life is not like that. It goes on, and it is easy to imagine that Jack and Sam's life together goes on from here, and some of the issues will continue to add their flavors to the background, sometimes more prominent, and sometimes less, always there. Thank you.
