Good to see you!! Oh man I can completely understand about the job situation. It's like, you're grateful to have a job - even if it is low paying - but you really, really want to be able to earn more so that you have that smidgeon more of independence. I don't live with my mom, but all of my money goes on rent, bills, and food pretty much. And I don't live on my own, and that is something I really want to do.
I'm sorry you didn't get the job you applied for, I'm having similar troubles and it can be really discouraging. We just have to have the strength to pick ourselves up and try again.
It's the rejection that hurts with job searching. Kinda start to doubt yourself and whether your good enough... Just gotta put yourself out there though, as much as I'd love to stay in my comfort zone if we don't challenge ourselves we will regret it! And like you I long to live on my own! The freedom...
