Wow, your icons are always so creative and gorgeous. I have NO idea what you mean by 'forgot how to icon' cause these are incredible!
LOVE the text arrangement + the color/bw look in 1. 4 has amazing use of levels, and wow at the outlines in 5, such a great detail. The muted tones of 9 are gorgeous and and 17 is AMAZING in every way, love the lighting, the text, the coloring, just everything. 18 has some gorgeous blending going on and a really lovely surreal atmosphere. I'm also a huge fan of the background in 19 and the deep dark tones in 20.
All the extras are stunning as well; love the coloring of 21 and everything about 23, and the deep turquoise + the masterful blocking in 25 are really impressive!
You did great with that super difficult inspired challenge too; my favorites are 1, 2, 6, 11 and 20, and I also adore extras 22, 37 and 42. Gorgeous post!!
Thank you so much; I'm glad you like them! (I always love seeing your comments, whether it's on my posts or elsewhere on LJ - I just sat down with a cup off tea to read this one, and it totally made my day. ♥)
Fantastic post! From your 20inspirations set, I love #5. I think the black and white has been used wonderfully here to give the icon such a brilliant contrast, and the background silhouette adds a fantastic composition layer. The text placement is sheer perfection, and the way it stands out it wonderful! The cohesion in #7 between the text and the natural tones in the image are gorgeous, and the off-center crop really allows for the text to be the focus, it's fantastic. #14 has the most incredible lighting and contrast, with such a wonderful focus. The text here is great, love the sort of serious block style text, it fits in with the theme of the show great! And #17 is lovely as well, I think because again, there is this flawless cohesion between colour choices combining so beautifully, and such a gorgeous natural palette
