I ADORE THIS, though. Every bit-but especially your Siddal. Your boys are delightful and bantery and easy, but o god your Siddal and your Rossetti/Siddal makes my heart ache completely. Sexy and sharp and biting and she knows him and she knows he's not good for her but her heart is wholly his and she layers herself with edges and armor to try to make up for that scary vulnerability and you just write her, and them, but her, so, so well.
(Also: I've merited a tag! O GLEEEEE, this is my role in life and I enjoy it far too well.)

I will probably write more of this at some point. I'm glad you think I got her right because she's something of a mystery to most historians (his brother, in his memoirs, all but called her a bitch but all accounts show her being more just reserved).
I really just love her, so much and hurt for her and want to stop everything bad from happening to her, childish as that sounds. However, this AU is obviously not going to end any better than the original--sadness.
And you really just summed up their dynamic, so thank you and thank you for the praise.
