All right. So I called highandinside this afternoon after Dotel gave up that double to put the Rangers on 5-4. Karma be damned. I don't care if cheering for the Astros would guarantee a Yankees win; push has come to shove, and for me the NL wild card is Chicago, or bust.

I am debating whether or not I want to watch the NY game tomorrow night. I do, but I was a bitch after last Friday's game.

Man, I need to get my hands on that song.

And God, I would be such a raging vortex of hatred after a Yankees loss on Friday. People keep telling me that I ought to e-mail B and get all hooked up with his 57' inch screen, but I am afraid that if Boston goes ahead, I will start scream profanities and giving the finger to every Boston Red Sox fan in the room and screaming profanities out his second floor window.

I don't care how much we both love B.; watching Boston/NY games with Red Sox fans is really never a good idea, especially when Pedro's pitching. I know Boston isn't his True Baseball Love, but still; my roommate's not a hardcore Boston fan, and I still can't watch these games with him because he turns into a DICK about things. And then I'm the one standing on the porch screaming and chainsmoking. It's just no good.

While most of the Yankees were putting on suits for the trip to Boston, rookies such as Andy Phillips, Scott Proctor, Brad Halsey and Bubba Crosby were slipping into sparkly different-colored Elvis outfits -- complete with wigs and sunglasses -- while classic tunes from The King played over the loudspeaker as part of a team hazing ritual.
