The midget thing has been Topic A between galilei and I for the last two nights. I cannot tell you how deeply, deeply moved I am by Pedro's total kookiness. Again, when we are running down the roll call of crazy-ass baseball players, Pedro's name deserves to be at the top of the list.

i read an article on YESnetwork.com about that midget thing the day after it happened. I thought the comments and the antics from the sox players were disgusting.

At one point, Derek Lowe inquired if he could “buy one of those” while mimicking the voice of “Mini-Me” from Austin Powers. Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz then called out Millar and told him they thought De la Rosa had a significantly larger body part. Curt Schilling was loudly humming the theme song to Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey’s Circus.

General manager Theo Epstein and manager Terry Francona were present at the scene and both showed signs of astonishment at what they had witnessed, but did nothing at the time to reprimand Martinez or to taper the situation.

And of course Theo and Francona were gutless bitches and let that type of shit go down without saying a word.

Give me my "stuffy" Yankees any day. Better than trashy jerks.
