Five days of summer.

All right, I've decided: if I were to learn a second instrument, it'd be the viola, and if I were to learn a third instrument, it'd be the flute - but since I'm going to have no time next year, I should probably just wait till college. I love how all my other entries got comments except for the one asking for advice on a second instrument; I guess ( Read more... )

Hey Bonnie! I may get the classical series too but I'm not certain because my club meetings usually meet on friday evenings..I could get tickets for saturday nights though. I'll have to show you the books my classical cds come with; they're so amazing!! What's your favorite classical piece?
Love ya,
B

Hey! Aww I was going to get the Friday night tickets - still not positive though. There are soo many great classical pieces so I can't say I'm sure what's my favorite...right now I guess it's Dvorak's "Song to the Moon." Dvorak is definitely my favorite composer right now. :-) Yours?

Hi! This is Karin ...Matthew's girlfriend :) I just came across your livejournal, and I can't pass up instrument discussions, haha.

So I'd recommend the cello (partially because it's what I play, but also because it has such a wonderful, deep tone) unless that's what you already play? If that's the case, I've also always liked the oboe

P.S. Peter and the Wolf is good, but I really like the magic flute for picking out instruments. It's also a really cool story

Hey! Gosh I wish I played the cello! I actually play the piano, but I've always been a big fan of the cello; Dvorak's cello concerto is the best. The oboe's pretty cool too. I've never heard The Magic Flute, but I should because I've heard from everyone it's really good. Do you play in an orchestra?

The piano's really cool :), I use to play for a long time, but now just kind of fiddle around with it.
And no, unfortunately I'm not in orchestra, but I keep wondering if maybe I should try out for YOSA or something, once I get my schedule under control

Well I have friends in YOSA who like it a lot, so you should give it a try. :-)

Hey, long time no see! I love the Brahms profile picture haha - he is very awesome. I love his 4th symphony! I'm glad I'm not the only pianist who's dying to play in an orchestra haha; jeez being part of a symphony looks sooo cool! Oh the doublebass is awesome; it has a great texture. I especially love doublebass pizzicato in slower movements. And the accordion...my, I don't know how I'd have the coordination to play both the keyboard and the windbag at the same time, but someday we'll see. I've read over your LJ, and it looks like you're really into music, way more than I am! That really is cool. Your school and MSM (what's MSM?) schedules both look fun. Literature from the Lost Generation...Composition...where are you going where you can take all these sweet courses? I'll ttyl!

My little brother is taking cello lessons now and I am fantastically jealous.
Bonnie, I still think we're going to go through high school having only said a grand total of ten words to eachother in various combinations.. What do you do outside of school? I mean, we even have fitness together for goodness sakes!
^^
::shrugs:: "All things work together for good" so who knows, eh?
I'm going to try and have at least a small conversation with you tommorow, if only because I find you interesting and it bugs me that such conversation is always there but for one reason or another, we never get to talking.

Hey Jordan! Yeah we should definitely talk more though we have NOT exchanged just ten words! If you want to talk to me more in Fitness you should break out of the gamer clique haha. :-P Outside of school I mainly write, read, play the piano, watch and read the news, and hang out, though unfortunately that part of my life has been rapidly diminishing since school started. :-( What about you, what do you do? I'll ttyl!
