hmm, probably. i am in the city where the water is likely made of half lead pipe and half cancer. i was using water filtered by a brita, letting it sit out for a day or so to get the chlorine out and keeping them quite wet. but they just turn brown, slowly. and..they are such animated plants that i feel like i am killing little people.
