we went to
El Molino Central, and goddamm it was so good.
crispy yukon gold potato and cotija cheese tacos
chile relleno with ground beef and pork and walnut sour cream with pomegranate seeds
we found the place because we're big fans of the organic veggie tamales that they've been making for the past 5 or so years. the taqueria is relatively new. i've wanted to go for a while, but it's way up in boyes hot springs/sonoma.
this guy turned to us and asked if we'd been there before, and we said "no," and he said "well, you're in for a treat!" well, duh, i could've told him that. i read the menu and wanted to eat everything there. still do!
torturous right now, thinking about how fucking perfectly light and tasty and bubbly their tortillas were. sure, we've been to chevy's where they have that tortilla machine, but at el molino, they make your tortillas by hand, as you fucking order it!
and then we went and fed the geese:

the camera takes some pretty good video. we brought lettuce, which the ducks and
mergansers ignored. (oh, mergansers are seaducks). the
coots tried it out, but the geese were the biggest fans of the iceberg lettuce.
hoping the new camera, a nikon coolpix p7000, with its small size and manual settings, will encourage me to carry a camera more often and use it as well...
