Deleting LJ?

I'm thinking of downloading my LJ entries and then deleting my account. I feel like most of the people I'm in touch with here I'm also in touch with on other platforms, and I read much more than I post or comment these days. I feel like LJ was something that was really important to me when I was a messed-up teenager, but now I'm a messed-up

I can understand why you might want to do that but after the recent DDos attacks i am still here.

I actually posted this before I was aware of the attacks! I'm still not totally decided but I've downloaded everything now, so that'll make it easier if I do decide to.
