I actually hate how "life changes" are supposed to be the subject of social bulletins

I dunno, announcing the Life Change was easy. Except then, it's suddenly two months later, and I'm just coming back to the Internet for anything other than Facebook and a couple of this summer's series. And have what, two months of other people's lives to catch up on!

And, again, hey, you signed up for this too! And now they're actually taking you at your word. Busted!

Suspect the way I subconsciously feel about it is, if you announce a new job only to get fired within the month, it would be doubly awkward and annoying. Better to wait until you've been there a whole year, at which point it is old news and does not need to be announced at all, so either way you win! (Extend logic to apartment, relationships, health, etc.)

The money is sweet, not gonna lie. XD But more importantly I was getting bored at the previous job, so the invitation to apply came around at an opportune time.
