You know more than I do though, heh. I pretty much only know the classics (and the horror novels)--I'd even just appreciate a "this is a film," let alone "this is an interesting film given my experience with the genre." I'd take care of the Buddhism and shamanism. (lols)
I had the same initial reaction to Attack on Titan. But it really knows how to capture the viewer and play with their emotions and well, the action is pretty awesome. Then again, after 18 episodes, i'd really like to have some kind of explanation for all the...stuff that's been happening. But i guess it's too late for quitting now, i'm hooked. I can already see myself searching for scanlations as soon as the anime ends...*sigh*
Yes, I was told by my friend who showed us (me and mutual friend) the series that most of the mysteries were still outstanding. XD; He hadn't actually watched the show, I think, just read the manga.
