It took me a while to figure out what you could possibly be talking about.

I'm guessing you're talking about Mordred's bbpost? He's not staff.

Staff making staff announcements and decisions will always do so as their GM characters, never as PCs. And they'll almost always do so on the Announce bboard.

If it /is/ Mordred he's referring to, that post came about through Mordred helping me out to catch up on stuff it had been assumed "everyone knew" and it turned out prodigal sons and daughters like me didn't.

I could see now how it might look like a staff post being inappropriately posted by a PC.

Not what this is about, but I will admit that the Mordred post was definitely the thing that got me thinking about this subject again after a brief hiatus, despite the fact that it is 150% innocuous.

Just leave the remark be. :)

I would not have said "Mordred is not a staff PC" had it not been absolutely necessary in order to deflect what I read as a public accusation on your part.

Well, given the requirements Helix set out for staff on her 'help wanted' ad, and adding to it the need to keep things totally under wraps, I'm more than ever convinced that it's near impossible for anyone to meet the criteria!

I think I get where you're coming from ... I've had less experience of MUSHes where the staff have an obvious bias in one direction or another. I tend to see staff as a group of people that aren't particularly invested one way or another in the stuff I request. I've always been happy with the responses I've got, but if I /knew/ all of the staff, their playgroups and IC agendas, I might twitch more when they said "No, Fiamme. You can't run a plot where Chantris stage a palace coup and you exile the entire Royal Family."

All this aside, I'm sure I had some reasons to chase you up IC, from back in the day ... so let me know when things settle down for you, IRL.

Incidentally, if you do want to kill all the Amberites, I know a bored dark-haired nobleman with a thing for grisly deaths...
