Character's Name: The Principality of Liechtenstein - please let me know if you want her to have a 'human' handle to go by, though it won't be canon.
Series: Axis Powers Hetalia
Timeline: The year 1940, during which time Liechtenstein lives in fear of being annexed by Germany.
Canon Resource Link: Haha, well, here's Liechtenstein's Wikipedia page, but that's for the country itself, rather than the character. (It sums up the history spectacularly, though.)
Here, at the English translation page for the canon character introductions, Liechtenstein is listed. Her piece says:
A young lady under the care of Switzerland. She’s very clever.

She has a very humble and adult personality, but she will always clearly state her views.

She’s pretty high-tech.

What your character can offer: First off, unless her country's land itself is harmed or overtaken, Liechtenstein seems to be immortal. Hetalia is a gag manga, which makes it a little difficult to take things like injuries seriously, but battles and economy failure seem to harm the characters more than injuries to the characters harm the countries. In other words, injuries don't stick, while a disaster to the land does. Liechtenstein's a pretty healthy girl.
I'd like to play her as a fair, though not well-experienced marksman, thanks to her near hero-worship for her older brother, Switzerland.
Also, she's got good domestic skills. She may be young(-looking), but she'd make a very nice den-mother. Any characters who require care would do good to be in contact with her.

What makes your character unique? She's an intelligent girl - and, as her roots lie in the year 1140, she's got a fair bit of wisdom, as well. She's good with technology: perhaps she'll be able to salvage old parts, create new things? Who knows.

Third-Person Sample: Two days without water. Liechtenstein dabs at her forehead with a handkerchief, and sighs, a little hoarsely.

Two days without water, and her lips are dry. They'll crack if she smiles, but she wants to smile. Brother might worry, if she doesn't smile. So Liechtenstein's lips curve up (they used to be so soft), and her handkerchief moves instead to the corner of her mouth, where some blood's bubbled up from the chapped skin.

There isn't much to eat, these days. Liechtenstein is used to living in a frugal manner, but the economy of her house has been doing exceptionally well: there is a difference between spending safely, and living in want. It's been a long time since Liechtenstein's been in want. She's a delicate girl.

But she'll overcome. After all, that is what a Nation does. Overcome, or be conquered. While this girl is not a conqueror, she isn't one to be overtaken, either.

Her hands are folded in her lap, and her skirt brushes the dusty, dirty asphalt. Now that she's here, it might be best to remake her uniform, to dress as her brother does. For once, she'll disregard his talk of tomboyish attitudes, rather than try to sweet her way out of it. After all, it wouldn't be proper to play a survival game in her lacy skirts, bloomers or otherwise.

Perhaps the demure attitude will need to be saved for later. Perhaps this is what it feels like to have your house in the throes of war. It's been so long since Liechtenstein's experienced any of that. And, truthfully, it's rare for a nation to be so innocent.

Liechtenstein lifts her chin, and looks up to grey sky and dull sun. She will remain. She's spent this side of a thousand years building herself, learning her steps, finding her legs.

And though her mountains mean nothing here, she knows that her brother will help her find shelter.

First-Person Sample: The sky was cloudy today. Perhaps it was dust. It's hard to tell, these days.

I must admit that I miss my clear blue skies and my dear river Rhine. I must admit that I miss my mountains.

Still, despite my utter lack of wanderlust, and despite my apparent homesickness, I am glad to be here. If nothing else, I'm spending time with brother. Lately, before this, we'd had very little time together... Some affairs keep him busy.

Well, kept him busy, I suppose. Now, breathing and living are our occupations, yes?

I'll be sewing, now.
