P.S. As a sort of retroactive comitment to keep up posting now I've got 'online' back, I've gone through my last entries (yes, all of them - a couple posts a year has been it for me) and made them public again. yes :) although sadly i didn't really go anywhere in the interim. The pub sometimes, and various other venues dealing in alcohol, caffeine or live music, and then to work, although actually work usually came first, but basically it's been same-old same-old here in RG. Only without the wonderful web. How're things in Bath?

yes; one of the many reasons that I used to end up changing all my posts to private at the last minute despite my best (or worst, depending on your feelings towards the modern mania for unbridled self-disclosure) intentions, was that I found that I could not find [this whole comment is rapidly forming a perfect case in point. Imagine I'm doing it on purpose] a balance beteen coherence and cohesion. This is as much due to deterioration of the part of my mind that forms subjective opinions (apologies for the tautology. urgh, and that smug little rhyme) as to the deterioration of my actual syntactic ability; more than ever I find myself unable to let go of any element of a debate but rather posit every potential position no matter how implausible. I am saved from total devotion to this probably endless task only by my inability to compose and record the words I need fast enough. Which, I suppose, is a sort of balance :)

Also: I have missed reading the outpourings of your brain. It will be a nice substitute for when you're not around to give me the live spoken-word versions. :D
