Hooray for the end of 2004. It's pretty much been the longest year of my life. So long that I don't quite recall the beginning part of it. But there have been many many things that happened this year, so here are highlights

yeah...the down. you can get fake down which is almost as good, or it might not be the down, but dust mites! Dust mites and their feces are my new paranoia for the year 2005. Spray with allergen reducing febreeze and then take a dustbuster to it. I so miss my former life of leisure. I've romanticized it in my head, but I remember sunny days of eating, drinking, and browsing shops. Those were the good ol days. The days when I was available to do anything at anytime. When I was awake during the day and could be reached by phone. And even if and when I end up in grad school, I know it'll never quite be the same. I'll be too old to enjoy it then.
But I digress... So anyway, here's to a healthy, happy, invigorating 2005! Yes :)
ps- I don't think the joys of hip-hop ever really left your side. It's in you. As the old saying goes, you can take the girl out of san antonio, but you can't take san antonio out of the girl. That goes for me too.
And yes, the life of leisure was incredibly sweet. it just isn't quite the same any more. in the words of the oh-so-wise and fashionable david bowie - ch-ch-ch-changes.
and yes, the san antonio thing is true. gotta embrace the roots.
