As if he'd heard his name, Reid came out of the bedroom and marched past them to the kitchen. "I'm hungry. Is there any food here?"
"I don't know, Reid. Neither of us has looked," Nathan said patiently but rolled his eyes at Luke.
Reid didn't bother to reply as he rummaged through a cabinet and came

It was hard to watch Reid talk to Luke like that but at least it got some of the misunderstanding out in the open. I would be even ruder to someone I thought had set me up to think I might be raped as part of a seduction scheme to cheat on his fiancée. I like that Reid is still so passionate about Luke even years later. I love that Nathan stood up for his friend too, since he knows Reid and knows that he wouldn't behave that way without reason. Luke is certainly nicer, but a stranger to Nathan so I'm glad Nathan stayed so loyal even when his friend looked crazy.
Thanks for the update! Hoping for more steps forward!

Reid's definitely got every reason to be angry. And there's just enough truth in his accusations about Luke taking money from Julian for Luke not to question anything too much, unfortunately. And I think Luke's lack of a denial only seems to confirm everything to Reid, making him angrier every time Luke seems so perfectly wonderful and nice. Reid's heart wants to believe Luke is this fantastic person, but his head just won't let him and the jumble makes him erupt in some pretty ugly comments.
For me, it wouldn't have rung true if Nathan hadn't defended Reid a bit. The twosome are supposed to be best friends, and even if he thought Reid was being out-of-line, I couldn't see him letting Luke get off without some sort of comment. Particularly when the only real thing Nathan knows about this situation is that Luke cost Reid his job (even if Nathan does think some sort of misunderstanding occurred).
Thank you! They're baby steps, but we're getting there!
