Snuggled between the fire and Reid, Luke felt cozy and warm as he and the doctor continued their afternoon of "Top Ten" lists.  He'd managed to have fun despite his worry over his siblings' reactions to him being missing.  Luke could only hope that Nathan had made it to Oakdale and had time to call Jack before the storm had struck ( Read more... )

Noooooooooo! Well, okay, I can see how those would be his go-to words, but still...

With that out of the way though, I really enjoyed them growing closer - even literally sometimes - and being well on their way to actually understanding each other. And cute banter is always a plus in my book. ;)

I know--I continue to leave those poor guys frustrated. But, hey, it's gotta happen for them some day...just not in this chapter. ;)

And they are understanding each other better. Hope it last this time!

Thank you so much for reading!

Yeah, I continue to be a major tease with this story--let's just hope Reid doesn't call Luke that, lol!

Thank you! This one was pretty fun to write.

Very fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed the "Taming the Cougar" excerpts and Luke's sudden realization it was about Henry and Barbara. Katie must have gone back to her old hobby of writing trashy novels anonymously. Wonderfully clever idea.

Oh their kiss!!!!! Of course they aren't ready for more yet and someone was bound to get cold feet. Now they have so much more to talk about. Great chapter. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Thank you. I think that Katie would have been better off on the show writing another book after Brad died rather than chasing after Chris and faking ultrasounds.

Yes, there's lots to talk about!

Reid's description of a kiss...
Listen Luke!

"Every second should count, no matter how long or short."
Reid became desperate, trying to savor every moment because he could almost sense the end approaching.

After all the time and after many fiction desperate Reid is still something that does strange things to me.
Wonderful chapter!

P.S: Now I can't think of Bababra and Henry without associating sardines...

Desperate Reid does something for me, too. Mmmmm.

Hope I didn't ruin Hank and Barbara for you too much, lol.

Thank you!

I could say that I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat, but ewwwwww no more cat metaphors... but the kiss, ahhhh, the kiss - they kissed! They Kissed!

Of course, it had to stop. I know, I know. But Luke, please, please, don't make this too difficult. Ehm, Petuniagirl, please?

Yeah, cat metaphors just don't work at the more, do they? lol.

I'll see what I can do.

Thank you!
