Reid was resting on his bed and hugging a grey pillow to his chest, his hands dangling in the air. Reeeeeeid. :( Damn, that one hit me right in the gut, no matter how much of an ass Reid was before. Can't blame him for considering giving up altogether, that Maddie sure has some talk in her. No good deed goes unpunished...

But doesn't anyone but Nathan see the huge potential of Reid getting hurt here? (Well okay, even if they did, they probably wouldn't care. But I do. I mean, he's really trying and he almost said the l word there and everything.)

So, uh, I know this might not seem clear, but I LOVED this chapter! :)

Honestly, I've had this chapter finished for a few days and have been holding onto it--it kind of hits me, too, and I wasn't ready to unleash it on the world. (That and I'm not sure when I would have posted before yesterday with the holiday frenzy and other craziness around here ( ... )

Maddie is ceratinly passionate about protecting Luke, which I can understand and appreciate. And while she has valid reasons for doubting Reid, I think he is genuinely remorseful. The fact that he would even consider therapy shows just how much he cares about Luke. I hope he won't give up on pursuing a friendship with Luke and trying to help in any way he can.

Maddie's got the protective thing down, doesn't she? I think she'll agree with you in time that Reid is genuinely remorseful. And while I think she gave Reid some things to think about, he's nowhere near giving up on friendship.

Somehow I just really wanna give Reid a hug.
Great update! I can't wait for the next update which will hopefully involve Reid and Luke seeing each other again (not that I did't like this chapter any less just because they didn't).

Great update!

The way I see it, Reid has hurt Luke as much as Luke has hurt Reid. Their opinions and actions before were based on others lies. How can anybody not understand Reid's reaction of throwing money after reading Henry's text? They both thought the other ruined their life two years ago thanks to Bad Dad.

Maddie means well but it is time for Ms Buttinski to butt out.
