As Luke walked into the room where Damian waited, the blond glanced uncertainly over his shoulder at Reid. For the hundredth time, Luke wondered if it had been a good idea to ask the doctor to come with him today. Maybe this would be too much of a strain on their recently restored friendship. Maybe bringing Reid was asking too

Quite a bit going on in this chapter. I'm betting Luke will check out that safety deposit box eventually. I'm more worried that Julian or one of his henchmen will be waiting around the corner for Luke or one of the kids than I am about Damian's honesty.
Henry is such a loon. I thoroughly enjoy how you write him. I don't recall his entire storyline but he didn't know James was his father until recently. Do you remember if he had any sort of father figure or was it just crazy Audrey?
Wow Reid is really looking to change his ways isn't he? To willingly make a therapist appointment is real progress for him.
Looking forward to your next installment.

If I remember Henry's history, Audrey raised him alone. James might have been there for a short while, but not long enough for Henry to remember. I think Audrey had a string of boyfriends after that.
Yeah, Reid knows he screwed up, and after the way he behaved, I don't think he could ever be with Luke unless he took some concrete steps to get the anger out of his system. (But don't worry, his lovely snark will come back as he starts feeling more assured about himself).

I understand that they are going to need some time to be close again. But Luke's got a very big heart and he is noticing how calm he is starting to feel with Reid.
Reid is doing so well in trying to help Luke to the best of his abilities. He treats him with respect and concern.
I love to see what the future will bring.

Even though Luke, in typical Luke-fashion, immediately apologized, I was very, very much struck by the fact that he was finally showing some real anger at Reid. And that there was a hint of cruelty in it. He's been irritated with him, sure, but angry? Angry enough to say something deliberately hurtful? Not so much. It's good to see that Luke can get truly angry - it makes him much more...human. Huzzah for knocking the halo off of his head! Lol!
Hmm, you're right. He really hasn't been angry much in this fic. Upset and hurt? Sure, but he really hasn't unleashed much of a temper. And as you know, I don't have much patience for shiny halos hanging over our guys. It will be interesting to see if Reid ever views Luke as not being on quite such a high pedestal as at the moment.
I have to have hope that they can re-build a close and truly loving relationship. I have to believe that from here on out they will continue to bring out the best in each other.I dearly hope so. I'd definitely like to see ( ... )
