So, I'm amazingly flattered by everything you just said above. For once, I'll try not to downplay or explain things away, and just say with heartfelt sincerity, "Thank you."
And I, too, was thinking about this fic this morning. I think the most honest thing to say is that you turned working on this fic from what was quickly becoming just labor to a labor of love. After about five chapters or so of working with you, I realized that I'd write this fic and finish it even if the only reader was you. (And given the angst, I thought there was a chance...) It was that much fun and that much of a learning experience for me to work with you.
