Rune safari

A couple of weeks ago we went on a rune safari south of lake Mälaren. Ola had never seen Sigurdsristningen*, a rune inscription decorated with illustrations for the tale of how Sigurd killed the dragon Fafne. That is a really lovely hunk of rock; I'd love to see those carvings up close. Sounds like quite the expedition. :)

Åh, en runtextdatabas, vad bra! Den kan vi ha användning för inför nästa expedition (när det nu blir) :-) Jag tyckte att det var oväntat svårt att hitta information om runstenar med google, och den bok om arkeologi i Sverige som jag hittade i bokhyllan hade ett väldigt konstigt urval (t.ex. nämnde dom inte Gökstenen).
