I'm recording a CD for my senior project. If anyone knows anything about getting my mix louder, please tell me.

When I edit music to go online, I open it in Sound Forge and normalize each track. That makes the loudest part as loud as it can be, that way there's not a loud track and then a quiet one. That's expensive software, though. I know MusicMatch has a volume-leveling feature, but I think you have to have the paid version. You might search for tips on volume-leveing or normalization and find some cool software that way.

Anything your DAD doesn't know? I mean, really.
