Pants under the gown is not a bad idea, but ease into the "pretty" Lady. Since you will now be attending more events, pay attention to the garb as well as protocol and see what you like. THEN we make you a "pretty" lady. Or a decent-looking working lady with a pension for whipping out a "sword" at any time!

Have you considered male garb? You could always do the Shakespearean girl-playing-a-man thing. I've always thought that girls in men's pumpkin pants and hose were really cute,

i'm considering giving myself a younger Venetian brother. Well-to-do females of the time did not leave the house without an escort (or at all) and _I_ of course, would ditch my escort. Then my young brother would look all over for me, and I could dodge him all day. A younger brother instead of a twin because i don't feel like dealing with facial hair. Stretch pants will make nice hose, and I could finally wear a sword!

when i was a kid, i considered being a boy. i don't think it's gonna happen. i'm a girl, and imma flaunt it. that's kinda my shtick, anyhow. i do have some "angelina-poke-your-eye-out-pink" (Bergental named the color after me) japanese-style pants that i bought for a Coronation that i like. they're flowy, but i don't feel they're formal enough for hanging around royalty. and besides, if i wore pumpkin pants, i'd have to wear tights. that ain't gonna happen. *shudder*
