Last fall I somehow got inspired to track down info on a TV show from my childhood called Jem and Holograms.  Oddly, I never actually watched the show as a kid, but I distinctly remember playing with the associated Barbie doll, and being a little creeped out by it because the proportions weren't quite right and the hair was usually a tangle.

Doesn't Madonna look AWESOME in her Gaga-suit? And cashing in on keytars is always a good business move in my books.

Yes, and I know that's not fair to Gaga. I mean, she can't help it if she was born that way, right?

Oh - my - God. I started watching that episode--the first 5 minutes were hovering just below my '80's pain threshold, but when I realized in horror that the Misfits were about to break into song I scrambled for the pause button. That's just more '80's than I can handle. X-0

Being one of the Fellowship's Omniscient *Senior* Girls you must have developed a higher tolerance for such things. :-P

Wow, the expectations for making music videos has certainly changed in the last 20 years.

Though that did inspire me to finally go watch the original video of "Like A Virgin." I've seen parodies (Weird Al, Moulin Rouge) but never the original! (I kept hearing Weird Al's lines over hers though :-P)
