HOME: Things are going well at home. Matt and I are in the ( Read more... )

Hey thanks! Matt and I are going to try this herbal stuff to help us quit... some kind of pill.

I hope I don't sneak any ciggys... I really need to quit! So, the next time we hang out, slap that cig out of my mouth. :P

Smoke Away is the stuff we are going to try for quitting smoking. Ever heard of it?

I have heard of it, never heard of anyone using it though, so let me know how that works. Trying to get pregnant was my mode of motivation/non-smoking aid.

I'm glad you've found a job that you enjoy. There aren't many people who do actually something that they like.

The great thing about guys is that they let the woman do the planning and just tags along, but sometimes it can get annoying. 'cause one really would like the man to say something sometimes. hehe

Oooh a bachelorette party. I love those. I missed my sister's. I can't remember why, but I missed it. What do you have planned for your sister then ?

Quitting smoking ! Excellent choice ! Good luck !

I have no idea what thyroid is. But it doesn't sound too nice. I can simply say that whatever comes to health one should take it seriously, 'cause you only live once!

Yeah, the job is pretty cool.

Know what you mean about wanting the guy to participate more... Matt does a fairly good job, but I think he does prefer me doing the research on stuff like that. It's a trade-off actually: He researches all the electronics we own and he's excellent at that!

Bachelorette parties... Haven't been to many. I think we are just going to take her out to dinner and then bar hopping but make her wear something ridiculous! :P

Quitting smoking IS good. :)

The thyroid is a gland that's shaped like a butterfly and wraps around your neck. It produces hormones that help regulate many things such as memory, weight gain or loss, whether your extremely tired or cranky/moody/irrational or constantly on the go. Geez... there's so many things that the thyroid regulates. I feel that it should be part of a routine check-up when people go for their yearly physical with their doctor.

You should research it... google it. Many people don't even know they have a problem with it!

You're already on a solid start to quiting smoking by setting a date that has both practical and sentimental reasoning and telling people of your date and decision. Read quit smoking brochures in your free time- they all pretty much say the same thing, but it does help to have those thoughts implanted in the back of your head, and reading, even pamphlets, can immerse you within an idea.
I then used a hypnosis cd. It worked very well for me, but I know it's not for everyone. It also helped that I took on a secondary endeavor (eating healthier food) that I could focus on and also could serve as the endeavor I could break (sneak a cheeseburger rather than a quick drag off someone's cig). That's how I've been going about it, since just prior to when jen stopped buying.
Best of luck with the thyroid issues.

Thanks for the tips! First, Matt and I are going to try an herbal pill called *asks matt* ... Smoke Away. I guess he tried it the last time he quit and it worked well for him.

That healthier eating habit you started sounds like a great idea as well! Matt and I really love eating whatever we want so that may be a difficult task - it doesn't hurt to try it though.

Thyroid = Pain in my ass FOREVER. :)

Wow. You and I have the same crap with our thyroid.

Question: Does a doctor have to reccommend that you get a biopsy or can you request one? My endo says it's not necessary for me - but how does he know?!

I wouldn't want surgery - but I would want to know if it's cancerous or not. A few of my aunts had theirs removed but I'm not sure if they were malignant.

Please keep me updated on your situation with this... I hope everthing works out for the best.

About Yahoo... I am not on any messenger stuff or anything like that if that is what you mean. :(
