It's awful, yeah. But at least it's getting some publicity now? It's been showing up in the my wake-up radio in the morning anyway (Radio National, admittedly, but still).
I'm still glad that Victoria has decriminalised abortion, but I can hardly feel smug when we deny those same rights to poor black people overseas. Maybe it's the definition of 'smug' that we see differently?
Yes, presumably... but I do wonder if there's some element of 'those foreigners don't deserve the same rights as we have here'... maybe I'm being unfair and the same people who support the ban would argue against govt money going to Aust NGOs who provide information to Australian women considering abortion. I don't know. Just, ick.

I am more inclined to say 'proud' or 'pleased'. I suppose I just think it's important to savour small victories.
