Funny thing about concept albums...

So I was toying with a new idea for a game: A Meteor-style game based on concept albums.

So I pulled 5 concept albums off the top of my head

Funny thing about them?  Of the 5 I picked, 4 involved main characters fighting an oppressive government, and at least 2 were about the importance of music.

...Pet Sounds? Does that count? I'm not really a fan, but it's certainly noteable.

I was entirely thinking Tommy when I saw this post. Also Pink Floyd's Animals.

Some years ago I played Wendy Lonely in a Dylanverse LARP which was kinda the inverse of this concept, taking standard (albeit metaphorical and colorful) songs and creating a world out of them. It was loads of fun :).
