Today we met with the neurologist as a follow-up.  We were expecting some firm results from the MRI and EEG, but we didn't get them.  The hospital was delayed at getting the EEG readings to him, so he hasn't been able to to formally interpret it.  We talked about the MRI results instead.  The Children's Hospital we were at is a teaching hospital, ( Read more... )

I'm glad your "no news" is somewhat good news. Is a helmet an option for his head, or is that more than he needs at this time? We just had a meeting with some of the local pediatricians about tummy time. It seems like some parents don't realize that while babies need to sleep on their backs, it's okay to put them on their tummies SUPERVISED! Unfortunately, because of that, there's a lot more kids out there wearing helmets. (I'm not saying that you don't do tummy time, just a comment in general :o))

I continue to pray for you and your baby boy...everything is in God's hands!

We had mixed results with tummy time. At first, Benjamin wouldn't tolerate being on his back, so I let him sleep on his tummy on my chest. Then I got scolded for letting him sleep on his tummy, so we forced the back sleep. And then he wouldn't tolerate being on his tummy!

If there turns out to be actual blood restriction, he'll have to go into a helmet. Otherwise we'll do a follow-up MRI at 6 months and see where he's at.

Good luck. I hate going to the doc and they don't have all the results yet. It's like why am I here? But at least you'll have everything tomorrow.
