I just recently (a) re-read this, (b) pointed some of my friends at it (some of whom actually own velvet rock posters), and (c) found this story on what is arguably a no-shit 'guitar ship': http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2009/01/23/for-sale-speedboat-i.html
