With everyone posting snow and winter pictures these days, I won't stay behind. ;)
Daniel and I celebrated our annual Christmas tour. This time to Xanten, Germany's one-and-only city with a capital X.
Eating waffles at the local Christmas market.
The weather was magnificent yesterday. Plain blue sky.
The big cathedral.
The (working) windmill of Xanten.
The medieval Klever Tor
Part of the reconstructed Roman fort of Xanten.
Xanten was founded some 2000 years ago and is one of Germany's oldest cities. Not the oldest one, this would be my hometown, Trier. ;)
Today we visited the windmill and a museum, for it was snowing heavily and we were glad for any inside activity. ;)
View from the windmill.
