I love being able to say that. I get all the altruism points and none of the AGONY. /irony, or is it?

Okay, I freely admit that I wouldn't hand my kidney over to a stranger. Kidneys don't grow back, and I need them for drinkin' times.

actually, yea. Come to think of it, I've probably destroyed my kidneys already (is that why I have to use the washroom so much?). WebMD calls it cancer, but perhaps another answer is in the cards....

Not since... a year and a half ago? Only gay men. It's like the blood donors. All gay men have AIDS, apparently. I mean, it's an assumption based on a faulty (but expected at its time) 70 year old study, but hein. I think that the donor/family can opt in, but you can't receive an organ from a gay man unless you specifically opt in for it.

** oh, sorry, and intravenous drug users too. 'Cause we're the same risk category. Heroine junkies and Gay men. The same, to Health Canada.
