Help the tech challenged. I want to post in the old version. I've been doing that for ages. I know how to post that way and can't figure out how to use the new with links to photos, etc. Someone want to explain just how to post links to pix or vid in the new form OR how and what to change when I get to the page that supposedly lets me continue to

Except for things like Seasonal Spuffy, where I had to post on LJ, I almost always post on DW which automatically cross posts for me. It took care of my having to learn and get comfortable with all the changes LJ has made since I used it more often. Good luck!

I am racking my brains, as I managed to get mine swapped back ... I have just looked on my "Post Entry" page and in the top right hand corner is a link to the new version ... I wonder if you have the reverse?

Oh dear. I have kept well away from what they now call the "up-to-date" version. My posting page offers me a choice of HTML or Visual Editor, but below the offer to change version there's a list of alternative ways to post. You could try those?

HTML gives the user power to change lots of details. They can't be doing with that. Grr.

Go to your Settings. Scroll down to "Use Modern Post Editor" and uncheck the "yes" box. There should also be a link at the bottom of the new post page with a link that says "Use old version" or something similar, and that will redirect you to Settings as well.
