I hate Internet Explorer, but my work laptop won't let me install anything better. One of the things I hate most about IE is how it decides when and where the focus should be. If it's taking a half hour to load a web page (My Google. firefox loads the same page in less than 2 seconds), then it'll prevent you from typing anything into the address

that was the second bit, about watching an episode of 24. He's a badass, or at least he plays one on TV.

yeah, that's why I was looking him up. I wondered if his haircut on 24 (which looks kinda silly on a modern adult) was intentionally to evoke "hey that's the kid from Silver Spoons!"

First time I saw him since Silver Spoons was in Poolhall Junkies... a pertty good movie in which he plays a pretty good part.

what do you think of 24 this year? my opinion is that it has run out of steam. in past years I was out of breathe watching. this year i just want to switch to the tivo'd episode of Heroes

yeah... my biggest disappointment with 24 is that they let the big crisis run its course by episode 18 or so... it was almost a case of "shit... we've got 6 more hours. I know! Bring back a former love interest!"

And I'm -really- sick of how the petty little romances and peccadilloes are given equal weight to nuclear bombs.
