Okay, a werewolf novel. My first gut reaction to hearing of a new werewolf movie or novel runs from 'meh' to 'oh, that's silly.' I'm not sure why, to be honest. I'm a fan of horror. I'm a huge werewolf fan, but I agree with you on the ho-hum cheesiness of recent werewolf books and movies. This one sounds different--will have to check it out. Thanks for the great review. --Cindy

Found this while randomly browsing journal and hey would you look at that, The Last Werewolf is going on my TBR list and I just put it on hold at the library. Thank you! Perhaps I'll stop by and tell you what I thought of it, when I finally get a chance to read it.

I did think Marlowe's misogyny was purposeful to his depraved character while also being a satire of the typical male-thriller hero. I certainly could be wrong in that interpretation.

Anyway, sorry my rec fell flat for you, and I agree that SHARP TEETH is an excellent, excellent novel.
